Linux Step By Step Guide Part 2 -use of Synaptic Package Manager

Now you have newly installed system with Linux mint on it.
And now it's time to do some crazy stuff.

As you have installed Linux mint you need not to install other stuff like VLC media player, pdf Reader, Image viewer etc.
These are pre-installed on your system. now we move to some advance changes.
If You want to customise your Linux without any problem you need to download Ubuntu Tweak on your System.

Configure Synaptic Package Manager

  • Set your proxy if you are using a proxy based Internet connection.
  • To do this click on Settings -> preference.
  • Now go to network and set your proxy.
  • Click on apply then ok.
  • Now click on reload.
  • Select package to be installed.
  • Click on apply.
  • It's done.
